Learning and Performance Solutions

Carol Heady is founder and president of Learning and Performance Solutions, a consulting practice specializing in skills training, management and leadership development programs, organizational development, and executive coaching. Carol brings 25 years business experience to her consulting practice from a diverse background including: financial services, retail, telecommunications, and academia. Prior to founding Learning and Performance Solutions, Carol held several corporate training and development positions at major companies including M & T Bank, Premier National Bank, MetLife, Interchange Bank, Ethan Allen Inc., and Cablevision Systems Inc. In addition to her human resource development experience, she has an extensive customer service and operations background from a fourteen-year career with Kraft Foods.

Carol obtained her M.S. in Organizational Management and Human Resource Development from Manhattanville College. She is an Adjunct Professor at Manhattanville College where she teaches a graduate course on workplace learning, and is a certified facilitator for three international training companies: Achieve Global, Development Dimensions International (DDI) and Omega Performance Inc.

Carol is past President of the Westchester/Mid-Hudson Chapter of American Society for Training and Development. She is a member of several professional associations including: Society of Human Resources Management, International Coach Federation, and The Professional Woman Speakers Bureau. She is a Counselor for Dutchess County SCORE and contributor to SCORE & Women’s Information Network website. Carol is an active member of the Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce and is Chair of the Women’s Leadership Alliance Committee, and serves on the Advisory Committee for Marist’s College Professional Women’s Mentor Program.

Carol is a co-author of Women as Leaders published in 2007, a dynamic twenty-five chapter book dedicated to behavior, image and professionalism for the female leader; and most recently Carol is one of fifty international consultants, seminar leaders and professional coaches to author The Baby Boomer’s Handbook for Women, powerful information on self acceptance, confidence building, and creating the life you want, published in October 2008.
