Jack Appleman is author of 10 Steps to Successful Business Writing (2008, ASTD Press), Amazon’s top-selling business writing book. His writing workshops and one-on-one coaching before major corporations such as State Farm Insurance, Deutsche Bank and LG Electronics have consistently earned outstanding evaluations. He has taught thousands of employees at various levels, including managers, to write more productively so they can achieve their management objectives.

The president of the Monroe, New York-based Successful Business Writing (www.successfulbusinesswriting.com), Jack is an award-winning writer who brings more than 20 years' experience as a writing instructor, PR specialist and professor. He has published hundreds of articles including an October 2009 column, "Don’t Let Poor Writing Stifle Company Growth," in Training & Development Magazine. Jack teaches writing and communication courses at New Jersey City University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and William Paterson University.

He earned his Certified Business Communicator (CBC) designation from the Business Marketing Association and is currently President of the Northern New Jersey chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. Jack holds an M.S. in Journalism from Ohio University and a B.A. in Communication from Ohio State University.
