Strategic Marketing for Nonprofits

Nonprofits have a challenging mix of clients, funding sources, volunteers, employees, and other stakeholders. All of them must be dealt with strategically if the organization’s mission is to be achieved.

This session will show how you can:

  • Create or modify an integrated marketing strategy for your agency;
  • Develop a marketing orientation; and
  • Build a marketing-plan roadmap.

The session will cover general principles and illustrate them by showing how they have been applied at a Hudson Valley nonprofit. Topics will include doing a marketing-strategy audit, SWOT analysis, market targeting and segmentation, and differentiation and positioning.
